Rights of Children
The most profound need of every child and every person is to know that someone cares him/her and is his/her life, and to be loved in a unique, personal, individual and continuous way.
Sharing life with children implies guaranteeing and safeguarding their rights. It also implies helping the child to develop individual awareness, self-determination ability, positive relationships and solidarity with others.
APG23 has developed different models of interventions throughout the years. Some of these models have been widely experimented and can be considered to be ‘exportable models of intervention’ which can be implemented in different parts of the world.
Such interventions are:
The Association “Comunità Papa Giovanni XXIII” works to promote the best interests of the child, according to the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC). Beyond that, it defends the right to life from conception, the rights to have a family, to education, to health and to active participation in their community.
Moreover, APG23 advocates for the Protection of the Family and combat the practice of Commercial Maternal Surrogacy that is a clear violation of the rights of children.
